Yellowstone Magic

This place is absolutely amazing. The Chief Joseph Scenic Highway from the Northeast corner of the Park back down to Cody is a combo of middle earth and heaven.

Bison and elk are everywhere. I saw a wolf last night 20 yards from the trailer. Haven't seen a Grizzly. Don't want to. A Grizzly killed a man last week.

Masses this past weekend were wonderful. Great people. I drive 396 miles a weekend to get to the Masses. Saturday evening is in the Canyon Amphitheater. Sundays at Old Faithful lodge at 9:00 and an 60-90 min drive to the lodge on Yellowstone Lake. Beautiful venues all.

Friday eve and Sat eve could not catch a fish. All changed on Sunday. At 7:30 PM I decided to try the Firehole river (about 5 miles from the trailer). It was raining. Went to a spot where I could park about 30 yards from the water. Rain stopped, a gorgeous sunset took over, and I caught eight fish. A busload of Chinese tourists were taking my picture and filming as I landed a couple of the rainbow trout. This evening back in Cody got six cutthroat trout at sunset.
